Industry

Aggressive targets for waste reduction and diversion have been set by NSW State Government.  Therefore Namoi Councils in partnership with the Northern Inland Regional Waste (NIRW) will roll out a waste education program and self-auditing tool kit to assist business to reduce waste generation.

Namoi Councils see auditing of industry as a way to further engage with industry on the topic of sustainability, while demonstrating the costs savings that come with reduced resource use.  The audits will be the basis for case studies and resources that will motivate and assist industry to become more sustainable.
